Creating Your Tooth Impressions

Creating the impressions, or molds, of your teeth is the first step in using our teeth whitening system. The instructions below explain how to create the impressions of your teeth:
1. Take out one set of impression putty.
To begin creating your impressions, take out one set of impression putty. Each set includes an equal amount of blue putty and white putty. Note: Each system includes three sets of impression putty, so you will have one extra set in case you make any mistakes. 2. Mix the two colors of putty together.
Mix the blue and white putty together for 45 seconds until it becomes a solid blue color. 3. Prepare the putty to fit in an impression tray.
Locate one of the impression trays (the large, y-shaped trays with holes in them) and roll the putty into a "hotdog" shape so that it can fit in the tray.
4. Place the putty into the impression tray.
Place the putty into the impression tray, making sure that the putty covers all parts of the impression tray. 5. Create your tooth impressions.
  • Take the impression tray with the putty in it and place it over the center of your upper teeth.
  • Then push the tray over your teeth.
  • Hold for 4 minutes and remove the tray.
  • Do the same with your lower teeth when done.
6. Fill out the information card and send the completed impressions in to our lab.
That's it! Fill out the information card included with your system and enclose it and your impressions in the included prepaid, preaddressed envelope. Then seal the envelope and mail it to our dental laboratory. Once our lab has received your impressions, they will create your custom whitening trays and mail them to you within 1 to 2 business days.
